Title Research: The Invisible man
When the movie first starts their is a picture of an earth and a title wrapping around it. The title I see displayed is the Universal logo. I then see the titles of BH productions, and the movie title "invisible man". The font being used is big and in all caps. The image prioritized in the opening sequence is an image of water hitting the shore. The connotations carried out by these image could be a sense of emptiness. I say this because It looks to be dark out and I get cold feeling. I can connect these emotions to the feeling of being sad or alone. The sound of the water hitting the shore sounds loud. Because the sound of the waves crashing sounds so loud, I cant infer that their probably isn't much around the shore, or that there isn't much going on. In addition I can also hear the sound of birds, lots of them. Because I hear this I can also infer that their might be something dead around. Usually birds get in groups and swarm an area if they see of smell a dead animal. It could also just be the fact that its a beach and birds are usually at the beach. most of the time I go to the beach and I don't see to many birds which is why I suggested something might be dead. The rocks behind the shore could also symbolize some type of blockage, or maybe a hard wall. The feeling establishes the feeling of the drama because of the sound of the location. The sense of tension ensures the attention of the audience. I think their is a bit of tension because of how empty it sounds. When an audience can hear that not much is going on it makes them ask themselves "what will happen next?". I also think that because it is dark out, it adds suspense. Usually when its dark it implies something bad might happen.
