Gatorade Commercial

 
In the beginning of this project I wasn't really worried about editing, because I have some basic editing skills that I gained form using the iMovie app. I purposely chose to film off my phone because I knew how to use iMovie. I also chose to film off my phone because of the camera quality. The filming portion wasn't too hard either. Thanks to a few assignments I had to do for Aice Media, I knew about camera angles and different shots. Using a tripod made shooting a lot easier except when I was driving to the field. Overall, the commercial was a good first time edit and film project. I feel like I did pretty good for my first time. I cant wait for the next project. When I was told this was an induvial project I was excited. When I started to planning I realized that the filming part would be challenging, so I asked a few of my friends for help. It was really fun and I had a great experience. The process of submitting my film kind of tripped me up. I'm not that familiar with YouTube or even this whole blogging thing so it made me confused. I thought there was a way I could upload the video to my blog by using google drive/google photos, but every time I tried it didn't work. Thankfully there was a guide put out on canvas. I ended up posting my video on YouTube and making it private. Adding it to the blog was the easiest part.

 A music video is a short film. This short film integrates a song with visual imagery. The music video is based of a love song. In my music video the girl and the boy were plying the parts of a girl and a boy "in love". The most commonly used conventions are successful love stories or failed relationships. Almost every music video with the genre of music I chose, contains a type of romantic twist. I would say that this conventions wasn't challenged in my film.  My film represents the social group of teenagers living what some would a "teenage fantasy". Teenagers today have a different version of "love". My film represent what love is too them and what it should look like for everyone. They went to the beach, held hands, played in the water, had genuine laughs. Filming and Editing: Figuring out filming day

Filming is going to be a little tricky. I feel in this part of my project I tend to change a couple things. Usually when I film I change a few things up. For example, in my music video, my storyboard said it would be night time, but I decided to make it during the day because that's what worked best for everyone's schedule. I don't think the changed I made, or any of the changes in fact, have been that significant. Well, at least not significant enough to be questioned. For this project my pitch was supposed to be about a married women's husband dying in war, but now its a same sex marriage and one of the partners die in a car accident. I only changed my pitched because of my boyfriend because he was supposed to play the role of my "husband" and then backed out at the last minute. Introduction to the Music Video Project

For this project I will be working with my Ashleigh, Dwana, and Jontae. I met these people in high school before corona and stuff. Dawana and Ashleigh helped me with the last project and it went well. They took this class last year. Working with them  helps me with the class. They teach me how to get all the good camera angles and how to think ahead when it comes to editing. Usually I would work by myself but this project would be a lot easier to do with the help of my friends. The song in choosing to do is called "grateful" by Mahalia. Mahaila has a lot of other great song but this song is hands down my favorite. I chose this song because it illustrates a love story. I chose to do a song that represented a love story because I feel like that would be a simple concept to get across.
