Introduction to the Music Video Project

For this project I will be working with my Ashleigh, Dwana, and Jontae. I met these people in high school before corona and stuff. Dawana and Ashleigh helped me with the last project and it went well. They took this class last year. Working with them  helps me with the class. They teach me how to get all the good camera angles and how to think ahead when it comes to editing. Usually I would work by myself but this project would be a lot easier to do with the help of my friends. The song in choosing to do is called "grateful" by Mahalia. Mahaila has a lot of other great song but this song is hands down my favorite. I chose this song because it illustrates a love story. I chose to do a song that represented a love story because I feel like that would be a simple concept to get across. I mostly listen to R&B music so it wasn't hard to pick what song I wanted and what I wanted the video to represent. Most R&B songs ae either about love story or failed love stories. I actually discovered this song through Jhene Aiko radio. You know how a song plays and it was so good you had to replay it? yea, that was me. The song was so related. I wanted to see if Mahalia had more songs and if they were good. I liked most of them and added them to my playlist. It such a good feeling to stumble upon new artist who make good music that you can relate to.
