Editing: Finding the right video to use
I just finished editing my video. This is probably my favorite part of Aice Media. Watching my film and putting it together weirdly makes me feel whole. It makes me feel good when I put effort in to something and it comes out good. Editing my own films and knowing how to implement all my tools also make me feel like I'm becoming more efficient. We took a lot of takes during our shoot. That's something Dwana taught me. She said to shot a lot of takes just to be safe. Not because the takes were bad, but just to be sure it was the way I wanted. Due to the fact that we took so many takes it was hard to choose which to put in the video. Honestly that was the only issue I had, and if that's the only issue I have, then I'm not mad at it. When it comes to adding the music, I go through all the videos I import into iMovie and mute them. Then, I add the sound as a voice over instead of a background sound because it makes it easier to edit. That's also another hack I taught myself along the way. I would say I'm a quick learner. I'm pretty observant, once I do things I remember it. I added all the film I wanted to use and had to cut it done to a minute. At first it was 5 minutes, then I added the sound. I basically trimmed everything according to the length of the song. Then eventually i got to the point where the song was too long, so I trimmed it till it was done to 1 minute.
